How can I close my account if I believe my investment is worthless?

To confirm an investment is worthless or valued at zero to close your account, Olympia requires proof of the value/status from a Director or Trustee who can verify information about the investment company who issued the investment product. 

Due to CRA regulations, Olympia cannot use its own discretion to value an investment at zero. 

Once we receive proper direction and/or documentation confirming the investment is worthless/zerovalue we can close the account. However, until then the account must remain open.
