What is a self-directed account?

A self-directed account is a “brokerage” type of account allowing you to hold various investments within a single account. Self-directed gives you full control as a “do-it-yourself” investor and allows you to work with an advisor, such as a licensed dealing representative or other individual, to help you manage your investments.

If working with an advisor, you are exclusively responsible for initiating all transactions that occur within your account.

All investments initiated through your account are at your own sole direction / risk. Olympia is not responsible for guaranteeing your investment success, nor ensuring that any invested cash is returned or paid back to your account.

Olympia does not promote or recommend investments, nor are we involved in the decision-making process with regards to finding and choosing your investments.
